Over the weekend, we took the girls to their first official NICU reunion since they were discharged 5 years ago. We had our own unofficial NICU reunion 2 years ago when the girls turned three but we were more than ready to go back.
The girls were happy to pose with one of the furry friends who were walking around...Disneyland flashback anyone?

They ate some more while taking a train ride around the hospital.
And luckily, we ran into some of our favorite people.

We missed our favorite Neonatalogist and two of our other favorite nurses, but it was a great day! We are so thankful for the care we received in the NICU and feel like we can never say thank you enough to all of the special doctors and nurses who cared for our girls.

Wow!!! They sure have come a long way. I bet it is so cool for the nurses to see those babies all grown up.
How cool that you got to go back. As an ICU RN, it is always cool to see patients doing so well. :)
It must make your heart full (and everyone who was involved) to see three beautiful and healthy little girls and know how differently it could have turned out.
I am so glad for your family that it did turn out so well. The pictures of your girls always make me smile!
How awesome. I wish our NICU did something like that. We went back and visited twice at 1 and 2 years but haven't been back since. Those nurses really are amazing people :)
Yay for getting to go back for the reunion! I am sure the nurses loved seeing them!
That made me teary just remembering those days in the NICU when they were so tiny. What blessings, and how great that you saw some of your nurses.:)
