Photostory Friday

My neighborhood mom's group hosted a Valentine party for the kiddos last weekend. The weather was absolutely beautiful and made for a perfect party in the park. The little girls dressed up like princesses and the boys wore their pirate gear.

Our day was even better because we were able to hang out with the boys next door. Winter time always limits our play time with the boys because of illnesses, fewer daytime hours and cold weather.

Ahhhh the memories we will have of the girls before their preschool valentine's party are priceless aren't they?

This first picture kills me. I bust a gut laughing every time I look at it. Alyssa can't even stand up straight for me......with the "HURRY UP MOTHER" look on her face and Riley is in tears. Thanks for trying to carry the group with the cheesy smile Makena!

Take 2....still not impressed. Oh well, I tried. There's always St. Patrick's Day.

Photostory Friday and Party Prep

The girls were busy tonight making their 44 (each) valentine's treats for their preschool party tomorrow. My favorite part of the process was when Riley accidentally (wink-wink) ripped open one of the candy wrappers and quickly told me she couldn't pass it out to her friends if it was open and did that mean she could eat it?

Can't wait to watch them bounce off the walls tomorrow after all the V-day candy consumption!

Dearest daddy,

We wanted to tell you how much we love you since you are stuck in L.A. today.

Thanks for always offerring us dessert. Even when it is 5 minutes before bedtime and mommy has already brushed our teeth. Thanks for sharing your love of sports with us. Mommy laughs everytime we ask to watch football or basketball when you aren't home. We love it when you tickle our feet and faces with the stubble on your face. And we REALLY like it when you crawl into our playhouse and hang out with us. Thanks for making us special breakfasts on Saturday and Sunday morning. Since we are getting SO big, we hope we can help you with some of your chores outside this summer.

We love and miss you daddy and we can't wait until you come home.
